Nika Kljun
Nika Kljun is a world-renowned choreographer, dance mentor, and certified life coach known for her emotional depth, unmatched versatility, and global influence.
Dance is in Nika’s DNA. Her great aunt, Ksenija Hribar, was a pioneering figure in Slovenian contemporary dance, shaping the country’s cultural legacy through institutions like the Dance Theatre Ljubljana and the Contemporary Dance Association Slovenia. Nika’s parents, Janja Pušl and Zoran Kljun, were both top professional ballroom dancers and leading figures in Slovenia’s dance scene. Together, they founded the acclaimed Bolero Dance Center, where Nika grew up immersed in rigorous training across all styles — from ballet and jazz to hip hop, ballroom, disco, and tap.
From a young age, Nika was consistently earning top placements both nationally and internationally. In 2005, she became a World Champion in hip hop solo at the IDO (International Dance Organization). As she transitioned from competitor to coach, Nika led her own hip hop dance groups to national, European, and world championship titles — a journey that marked the beginning of her rise as an international choreographer.
Her unique style and infectious passion quickly gained global attention. She became a sought-after masterclass teacher, consistently selling out workshops across Europe, Asia, North America, South America, and beyond.
Before relocating to Los Angeles, Nika built a thriving dance career in London and Paris, and at just 20 years old, she was proudly selected as a Nike Woman — becoming a global face for the brand.
After moving to Los Angeles in 2010, Nika made her mark both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. As a dancer, she performed in music videos, world tours, TV shows, and commercials with global icons such as Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Fifth Harmony, Jason Derulo, Ne-Yo, T-Pain, Kehlani, Donna Summer, and Derek & Julianne Hough, to name a few. Her performances lit up stages at the MTV Video Music Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, X Factor, America’s Got Talent, and more.
As a choreographer, Nika’s creative vision has been featured on some of the industry’s most iconic platforms, including the Latin Grammy Awards, Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, The Ellen Show, and FIFA’s 2018 World Cup Closing Ceremony. Her choreographic work includes collaborations with global superstars like J Balvin, Will Smith, Nicky Jam, French Montana, Steve Aoki, Alessia Cara, Sonny, Jolin Tsai, and Britney Spears, as well as major television productions such as La Banda and Come Dance With Me — blending mainstream pop culture with a powerful artistic voice.
She also served as the lead choreographer for the legendary Paula Abdul for over six years, playing a pivotal role in shaping Paula’s stage comeback — including her Las Vegas residency “Forever Your Girl.” Her work has extended to creative partnerships with Disney, choreographing for both television and their international theme parks.
With a reputation as one of the world’s most sought-after instructors, she has taught in over 35 countries, and her YouTube channel has reached over 200 million views — a testament to her ability to inspire across cultures and generations. She is also a proud faculty member at JUMP Dance Convention, one of North America’s most prestigious and influential dance conventions, where she continues to mentor the next generation of rising stars.
Her lifelong dedication has earned her numerous awards from the Slovenian Dance Federation and the National Olympic Committee of Slovenia. Today, she proudly serves as the Slovenian Ambassador of Dance, paving the way for future generations and proving that international success can start from even the smallest country.
At her core, Nika is a mentor. Her coaching blends world-class technique with confidence-building, self-compassion, and a deep emotional connection. She creates safe, empowering spaces for dancers to thrive — transforming them from the inside out.
